What is the defect?
After operation of hoist in dual speed mode, the push button switch may stay engaged in low speed operation even after operator has released the switch.
What is the hazard?
Operators, bystanders, and other equipment can be compromised, and risk may occur.
What to do?
Identify any affected units and stop using the hoists immediately. Contact KITO PWB on 1300 792 262 to organise a corrective action. There are two options provided to rectify the situation:
- Distributor or end user may send the hoist to us, we will remove, fit, and replace a new pendant for the hoist and return the product within a reasonable time frame.
- Alternatively, distributor or end user may engage their own technician to fit a replacement pendant (which will be supplied free of charge), and a reasonable reimbursement cost will be provided up to $75.
